After a successful tour visiting Hammersmith, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham, Look Back to Look Forward: 50 Years of the Irish in Britain visits the London Irish Centre in Camden Square. We are excited to once again exhibit the oral histories that tell a community story like no other.
This heritage project created by Irish in Britain, with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, uses oral history to portray the Irish community’s resilience, diversity and enduring contribution to modern Britain.
This roadshow exhibition, which has been visited by thousands of people across Britain, showcases 50 fascinating and diverse life stories.
This exhibition provides an opportunity for more people in London to learn about the experience of the Irish in Britain, and the remarkable community work, social engagement and political activism that takes place every day.
