Reading Irish Centre 96-104 Chatham Street Reading RG1 7HT
In 1982, the Reading & District Irish Association was founded by a group of like-minded Irish people who had settled in Reading, who collectively wanted to preserve the Irish tradition and promote the cultural, social and general welfare of the local Irish Community.
In 1987 we officially opened the Reading Irish Centre! A friendly, private members club, providing a base not only for the Irish community, but the people of Reading as a whole.
We’re still going strong! Situated on the outskirts of Reading Town Centre and only a short walk from Reading Railway Station, the Reading Irish Centre is ideally located & includes a fully licensed members lounge where we host live music, quiz nights and race nights on a regular basis.
Members can also enjoy live sports whether it be Football, Rugby or GAA along with a Pool Table and Dartboard.
We also serve Hot Food at weekends, please check our Social Media for availability/timings.
New members will always receive a warm Irish welcome as they step through the door, so join today and come & enjoy the Craic.
We also benefit from a large function hall with its own bar for private hire which over the years has hosted numerous events and functions, located less than five minutes from Reading Town Centre and Reading Railway Station, the Reading Irish Centre is the perfect venue for any occassion whether it a be corporate, community or private event.
If you’d like to hire our hall please get in touch!
