The Forgotten Irish Group has been set up to support Irish people in Manchester at the end of life. The group contribute towards burial costs for those who have passed away with either no family, or financial means to pay for a funeral. They hope to build relationships with services such as: The Coroner's Office, Social Services, Greater Manchester Police, the Garda, and local hospitals, to trace families back in Ireland, to arrange repatriation or internment in the UK in the spirit of respect and dignity.
