Tyneside Irish Centre has about 3,000 members and organises regular entertainment with traditional session on Thursdays, ballad groups on Saturday and Irish Social dancing on Sundays. It hosts many other Irish Cultural events in association with Comhaltas and the Irish Cultural Society. The Welfare committee organises support for senior citizens including a weekly lunch with the “Thursday Club”.
The Centre has three rooms with licensed bars plus other meeting rooms and classrooms. Application for membership from Irish descended people are especially welcome.
