My background is in research and public history, having previously worked at a museum and on research projects investigating human rights abuses and collusion during the Troubles.
I have a PhD in History from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.
My research has largely focused on the modern history of Britain and Ireland, but has also drawn on broader issues of migration, detention, and state repression. As part of my research, I have carried out oral history interviews with Irish republican ex-prisoners from the Maze and Armagh prisons and former Members of Parliament.
As Heritage Researcher, I will be supporting volunteers to carry out oral history interviews, build the Irish in Britain archive and curate the exhibition to mark the organisation’s 50th anniversary.
