Originally from the Kilburn–Cricklewood area of London known for its Irish community, Anna now lives in Leeds and works as a marketing and communications consultant. Her father was born in Straboe near Mountmellick, while her mother is a Kerry woman.
Anna’s ties with Laois remain strong and she has shown off the county’s sites to her daughters (who make an appearance below!), including the Rock of Dunamase, Slieve Bloom and Emo Court.
She urges people to find out about and get involved in their local Irish community organisations. You can get started with our member list here.
